Product editions and modules

SuperMap iPortal provides standard, professional and advanced editions oriented to different application types, and they need different types of license.

All these three editions offer the same functionality. The differences are maximum users (exclude the users with PORTAL_VIEWER role), built-in SuperMap iServer license level and user expanding pack for each edition needed to purchase when the user number is greater than the built-in maximum users.

SuperMap iPortal 8C and the previous versions contain the SuperMap iServer application. So the licenses of SuperMap iPortal and professional or advanced version of SuperMap iServer are all required. SuperMap iPortal 8C SP1 or higher versions support stand-alone deployment and only require the license of SuperMap iPortal.

Start from SuperMap iPortal 9D(2019), a five-user iPortal official license is offered free if you have a corresponding-edition iServer official license.

Note 1: All extension modules are not included in SuperMap iPortal standard, profession and advanced editions. You need to purchase them according to your needs.

Note 2: The number of users with  PORTAL_VIEWER role in all iPortal editions are unlimited. The users with this role can log in to iPortal, view the shared resources, but can't create or manage any resources.

1. Standard edition--First choice for small size portal website builder

SuperMap iPortal standard edition offers full functions of iPortal with a limit of 100 users (exclude users with PORTAL_VIEWER role). This edition only offers iPortal license, no iServer or DataInsights licenses. If the users in your organization surpass the limit, a 10-user expanding pack is supported to buy. The pack can be purchased more times according to your needs.

For example: Two 10-user expanding packs needs to be purchased if your organization has 120 members.

2. Professional edition--First choice for medium or big size portal website builder

SuperMap iPortal professional edition offers full functions of iPortal with a limit of 200 users (exclude users with PORTAL_VIEWER role). Besides the iPortal license, it also contains a license of SuperMap iServer professional edition. While the DataInsights license are not contained in this edition. For the user limit, it supports for additional 20-user expanding packs.

For example: A 20-user expanding pack needs to be purchased if your organization has 220 members.

3. Advanced edition--First choice for big size portal website builder

SuperMap iPortal advanced edition offers full functions of iPortal with a limit of 500 users (exclude users with PORTAL_VIEWER role).  Besides the iPortal license, it also contains a license of SuperMap iServer advanced edition. While the DataInsights license are not contained in this edition. For the user limit, it supports for additional 100-user expanding packs.

For example: A 100-user expanding pack needs to be purchased if your organization has 600 members.

DataInsights extension module

Offers the ability of data uploading, online data access, dynamic visualization, interactive charts and spatial analysis to dig up the potential value of the spatial data to help with the geographic business decision making.

• Supports to upload Excel, CSV or GeoJSON files and access the existing data and services in iPortal;
• Rich chart visualization and association. Charts can be created by one click with attribute data, and the modification of data can be viewed on the chart in real-time.
• Simple-to-use standard spatial analysis, including: buffer analysis, isoline extracting, isosurface extracting, overlay analysis, Voronoi generating and IDW interpolation analysis, etc.
• Distributed spatial analysis for big data, including: points aggregation analysis, attribute summary, density analysis, trajectory rebuilding, overlay analysis, etc.
• Automatically save the analysis results to "My data" module and can be downloaded and shared to use in other applications.
